Hello everyone,

Here we are diving face first into the hot muggy days of our summer season!  Although the heat wave is expected to lift this week-end, the temperatures are still expected to be high. As we know, age can make people more vulnerable to heat stress so if you know a senior who is living on their own- be sure to check in and make sure they are staying hydrated and cool.

Speaking of cool, Trinity United Church is a cool place to be- theologically and temperature wise!

It is with great delight that I welcome you to come and worship with us Sunday morning in our newly air conditioned sanctuary! Can I hear an amen?!  This is wonderful news for not only our faith community but also community groups who use our sanctuary throughout the hot summer months. If you would like to book " Trinity Place" for your community event simply give Suzy a call at the office.

A bouquet of thanks to Lynda Arnold for keeping the office functioning while Suzy was on holidays and for leading us in music while Kyung- A was away last Sunday.  Seriously. You are a gift to our faith community- we are grateful for your sharing of time and talent always.

Welcome home Suzy!   Suzy is back from her niece's wedding in Madeira, Portugal!  Amazing trip!

In our Prayer Corner this week please remember Chuck McClelland. Chuck is recuperating at home after being diagnosed with a blood infection recently.  Although he would like to be able to respond to the many, many well wishes he has received he is not there yet.  If possible, please direct your wishes and concerns to his wife Sally and she will make sure they get passed along.  We are all pulling for you Chuck and are leaning into the hope you will be up and at'em as soon as these drugs wrestle this infection to the ground.  The Bigwin awaits its Captain!

Jamie Mitchell is also at home recuperating from a nasty motorbike accident a couple of weeks ago. Jamie we hope that you too continue to grow stronger with each passing day. And to MaryAnne and Sally- strength and patience with your caregivers duties!

In our Birthday Corner be sure to wish Joan Behm and Lynn McGregor best wishes- Joan blew out her candles on Thursday and Lynn will be celebrating this Sunday. We will sing

Happy birthday to you on Sunday!  Birthday blessings from all your friends here at Trinity United Church!

Finally, this Sunday there is another race taking place and there will be lots of cyclists on the roads in and around town- especially Brunel Road. Please be mindful of their presence and give them a wide berth. If possible choose an alternative route.
