Hello everybody,
Our spring-like weather is continuing for a few more days and Linda Martin tells us they have their first batch of Maple Syrup for the season! It does sound like we are in for lots of rain on the week-end… Did someone say snow?
And of course, it’s March break for all our young families and teachers. Due to technical difficulties, our movie for tonight The Bridge to Terabithia has been bumped to next Thursday night so hopefully this will bode well for parents and grandparents. It’s a movie about friendship, imagination and loss and how a resilient spirit allows the characters to work through it all.
Be sure to wish Bill Corrigan a Happy Birthday this week. Best wishes Bill from all your friends here at
Trinity.
As we continue to make our way to the foot of the cross, here are some special services to accompany
us along the way:
(Reminder- Easter flowers for Sanctuary- See or email Suzy in the office. Cost 12 dollars per flower. You
can e-transfer too.)
March 24th – Palm Sunday – Come and join in our Palm Parade as we celebrate Jesus’ triumphant entry
into Jerusalem before things head south towards the shadows of the looming cross.
March 28th- Maundy Thursday – Join us for a service reflecting the last night Jesus spent with his
friends in the Upper Room. We will symbolically re-enact Jesus’ actions as he washed his disciples’
feet. A simple Communion will be served in the round. This is a quiet intimate service. We all leave
the sanctuary in silence.
March 29th- Good Friday service at 10 am. We gather at the foot of the cross as we experience the
story of Jesus’ final hours on this earth.
March 31st- Christ the Lord is Risen today- Alleluia!
Easter Morning Celebration! – 10 am
“Easter is a story of the lasting power of love, the resiliency of life and the strength of hope.” —Dr. Nancy Rothwell
Joy is in the air! The tomb is empty! New life and new possibilities!
Easter Eggs and Easter Bunny too- come and bring the whole family!
I am looking for scripture readers for Holy Week services. Please let me know if you would like to take part in these meaningful services. Send me a quick email not attached to this thread- it may get missed.
Just a reminder to spring ahead on Saturday night- clocks go ahead one hour.
Welcome home Kyung- A! We are looking forward to having you back with us on Sunday. And a bouquet of thanks to Lynda Arnold for stepping up once again even when she was not feeling well. We appreciate YOU!
